I went to Eastern Europe this summer: Hungary, Slovakia, Czech Republic, and Slovenia. It was really sweet. Life there is much cheaper than in the US so you can basically get a hotel for $15/night. Locals are very friendly because they don’t often see tourists or outsiders. There is a lot of history and culture in those countries if you are into that. You can get around by train or cheap plane like Easyjet or Ryanair. Most of the locals speak English so you don’t need to be fluent in those languages when you get there. The nightlife is crazy, Eastern europeans know how to party. Drinks in bars/clubs are really cheap (1 Euro a drink) and entrance is usually free.
