What is the best vacation spot in Texas this time of year?

pregokristin asked:

Me and my husband are planning a quick 4 day vacation, and we want to go somewhere where there is something fun to do that is relaxing. Somewhere we dont have to do alot of walking (high risk pregnancy). But still enjoyable.

    I suggest Galveston Bay
Take it from a native Texan. ;-)

I was gonna mention San Antonio. The weather this time of the year is awesome and there a lof of things to do and places to see. The Alamo, The Ripley’s Believe or Not Museum, next to the Wax Museum of Celebrities. There’s also the River Walk where you can take a small boat cruise or a Gondola. However you may want to check because there is some walking involved.

Fredericksburg is cute, flat (the part you would be seeing), and has about a zillion little stores to browse through plus two museums. Everything is within a few blocks and, as noted, the blocks are flat blocks. There are plenty of good restaurants and motels and probably BBs.

The weather is beautiful this time of year, too.

    Here are some Fredericksburg links:

While you are there, come visit Mason (two more museums, a couple very good restaurants, charm, and more flat shopping–warning…nothing open on Sunday except the restaurants).

Kerrville is right down the road from Fredericksburg and almost always has some sort of music going on.

Another sight to see is Enchanted Rock. You don’t need to climb it to be impressed:

Have a great vacation wherever you decide to go!
