Can anyone suggest me good vacation places in California?

prik asked:

We are planning to come to LA for the thanksgiving vacation. We will be spending 4 days there and we have already been to Disney, Universal Studios and also Vegas. Can anyone suggest nice vacation spots (within 5hrs driving radius)??
Thanks in advance.

Brea, Yorba Linda, Corona, Anaheim Hills.
Sorry, just a bit of gallows humor there. I’m 2 miles from the Brea fire, packed and ready to go.

    San Diego is nice.
    How about Yosemite?
    Pismo Beach
    Santa Barbara
Or you could just visit LA some more.

If you are not having Thanksgiving dinner with relatives/friends why not spend that one day on Catalina Island. You can see most of what is to be seen in one day, and it will be something unusual to do.

    Come to Los Angeles first.

Then go on the hwy 1. and visit Pismo Beach.

Go to the 101 and visit San Luis Obispo as well.

Hwy 1 again to San Simeon to visit Hearst Castle.

Then off to San Francisco!! WHOO-HOO!

ok definitely yosemite(it may be too far away but its great), San Diego(perfect weather), Palm Springs/Palm Desert(outstanding weather and sun), Pismo Beach(too great 4 words) but lastly, i would recommend San Fransisco. San F. is really far away for LA but its fabulous. there is tons of shopping, diversity, art museums, and China Town! china town is filled with chinese restaurants, ducks hanging in the window(its kinda sad), and lots of trinket shops with really cheap stuff. but BEWARE: all the trinket shops sell the same things, but some things are over priced and some things are way cheaper. make sure you go to all the trinket shops before you buy an item. i really hope i helped and i hope you have fun!

Yosemite - Everyone needs to see this awesome creation by God

San Francisco - A cool town to visit

Lake Tahoe - A far drive but so worth the visit - more than 5 hours from L.A.

Driving… go down Hwy 1 and just look at the Ocean - another awesome gift from God

    Places to go:
In San Diego, don’t miss Sea World.
In Santa Barbara, check out the dutch community.
Yosemite is a great place, whether in summer or winter.
In San Francisco, you just have to have clam chowder at the fisherman’s wharf. I recommend the “Original Clam Chowder” restaurant. They have the best ones.
If you want to go farther, Lake Tahoe in Sacramento is also a good place to visit, and you can even go as far as Reno :)
    Los Angeles
